Delete your BelieversMap account
You can delete your account yourself in the app, at any time. It happens straight away and can’t be undone.
In the app
- Open BelieversMap and go to Profile.
- Under Privacy and notifications, tap Delete account.
- Read what goes and what stays, then tap Delete my account.
- We email you a 6-digit code. Enter it and tap Delete my account again. The code is how we know it’s you and not someone else holding your phone.
You’re signed out, and an email confirms it’s done. You can sign up again later with the same email; it starts as a new, empty account.
If you can’t get into the app
Email privacy@believersmap.com from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. If you write from another address, we’ll ask you to confirm the account is yours before deleting it. We aim to reply within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your profile and your sign-in, including your email address and phone number
- Your skill listings, and the reviews on them
- Reviews you’ve written about other people
- Your conversations and messages, for the other person too
- Your prayer requests
- Your testimonies, including any that were published
- The churches you joined and the denominations you followed
- Your requests to manage a church, and any church or denomination access you had
- Your consents, your notification settings and the devices registered for notifications
What stays, without your name
- Reports you sent, so the team can still act on them
- Churches you suggested, if they were listed
- Posts you published for a denomination, which belong to the denomination
- Photos you uploaded as a church’s or a denomination’s logo or cover, which belong to them
- Monthly area totals for leadership reports, if you had agreed to be counted. These are numbers of people in an area and contain nothing that identifies you.
