The rules for using BelieversMap, which is for people 18 and over. This is the same text the app asks you to agree to.

BelieversMap helps you find churches and communities near you, and connect with people in them who offer skills and services. These are the rules for using it.

Your account. BelieversMap is for people 18 and over. By agreeing, you confirm you are. You need a working email address, and you confirm it with a code we send you. Some parts of the app also need a confirmed phone number. Keep what you tell us accurate — other people rely on it when they decide whether to meet you.

Your religion and denomination. You tell us these so the app can show you what is near you and relevant to you. Being counted towards reports for your denomination’s leadership is a separate question, asked separately. You can refuse it and keep everything else.

Skills and services. BelieversMap introduces people to each other. It is not an employer, not an agency, and not a party to anything you agree with someone you met here. It does not employ or contract anyone who offers a skill, and it does not check anyone’s work authorisation. What gets done, what it costs, and how it is paid for are entirely between the two of you.

BelieversMap never handles the money. There is no checkout here, no escrow, and no commission on anything you pay or earn — not now, and not later. If a payment goes wrong, it is between you and the other person.

We do not vet people. Skills, affiliations and locations are what each person told us about themselves. Reviews and shared community are signals to weigh, not guarantees, and we do not stand behind them.

Meeting someone. Where you can, meet in a public place the first time, and tell someone where you are going. Some work carries risk that no rating in an app can settle for you — anything involving being alone with children especially. Satisfy yourself, and do not treat this app as having done it for you.

Prayer requests and testimonies. What you send goes to the prayer ministers of the community you sent it to, and no further. We do not use it to decide what to show you, and we do not use it for anything except the thing you sent it for.

What is not allowed. Pretending to be someone else, or to speak for a church or denomination you do not represent. Harassing, threatening or abusing anyone. Setting out to defraud anyone. Harvesting other people’s details to contact them, anywhere, about something they did not ask for.

Reporting. You can report or block any profile or any message. Reports are read by a person, and accounts that break these rules are removed.

Leaving. You can stop using BelieversMap whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account.

Changes. When these terms change in a way that affects what you agreed to, we will ask you again rather than assume.

How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
